LWB Helping In Honduras

Honduras,[a] officially the Republic of Honduras,[b] is a country in Central America. The republic of Honduras is bordered to the west by Guatemala, to the southwest by El Salvador, to the southeast by Nicaragua, to the south by the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Fonseca, and to the north by the Gulf of Honduras, a large inlet of the Caribbean Sea.

Honduras was home to several important Mesoamerican cultures, most notably the Maya, before the Spanish Colonization in the sixteenth century. The Spanish introduced Roman Catholicism and the now predominant Spanish language, along with numerous customs that have blended with the indigenous culture. Honduras became independent in 1821 and has since been a republic, although it has consistently endured much social strife and political instability, and remains one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere. In 1960, the northern part of what was the Mosquito Coast was transferred from Nicaragua to Honduras by the International Court of Justice.[8]. Wikipedia

Carlos Rovelo and Lizeth Ramírez

Ministerio Evangelístico Y Profético Manantial de Vida Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Pastor Carlos Rovelo and Lizeth Ramirez formed a beautiful marriage in 1991. Lizeth accepted Jesus in her heart in 1983 at the age of fifteen. Carlos accepted Jesus in 1987 at the age of twenty in the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. They have created a beautiful family of four children: Carlos Mauricio, Kevin Abel, Keen Esaú and Kenneth Joel, all of whom currently live in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

They both served and grew spiritually at Ark of Salvation Church. In their spiritual growth they were pillars of the church in which they became believers, serving for more than fifteen years in different ministries. Carlos served as a growth group leader, youth leader, and in the diaconate. Lizeth served for over 10 years as a Sunday School teacher and ladies leader.

In 2002 they founded their own ministry together with their children. Being the pastors, they began working with children and young people of limited resources and in social risk. Among them were gang members, drug addicts, homeless children etc. Over time, they have invested every second of their lives for future generations, discipling and taking the gospel to places where there is dire need both spiritually and financially. For more than five years they have led the project “The Church in The Streets’’, carrying out evangelistic campaigns and bringing food to children, youth, adults and the elderly who live on the streets. Their ministry has as its main objective to evangelize, disciple and win souls for Christ, serving God with love, healing the sick in the name of Jesus, freeing the captives and afflicted at heart, with the Power of God. The sole purpose of this ministry is to demonstrate to the world the true concept of God's love.

The Church
in the Streets

Activities were carried out in Choloma, La Lima, and San Pedro Sula of the Department of Cortes, Honduras. These areas were the most affected places in the month of November 2020 by Hurricanes ETA and IOTA. Therefore, entire families were left homeless, many people disappeared, children were orphaned, and families left mourning. Manantial de Vida, whose main mission is to bring the church to the streets, brought help to others, was present to bring faith, hope and joy in moments of anguish.
